Before I go on to New Year's Resolutions, I want to make sure I cover Christmas. It was good :-P I got (among other things) some iPod accessories, Gilmore Girls Season 1 on dvd, some money, a big Pooh (from Gramma), and the coolest- a kitty cell phone cozy that my sister knit for me. I promise I'll post pics at some time :-)

Alas... Christmas has come and gone... Ah well. It was nice to have a few days off, but now it's back to work - not that anything is going on at work! I have been updating my calendar and preparing a small mailing to go out.
I suppose it's time to start thinking of New Year's Resolutions. I'll be coming back to those soon.
Today is my parent's 33rd Anniversary. My dad got my mom knives. :-P This reminded me of their 25th Anniversary when my mom got my dad a chainsaw.

I'm getting so bored at work, and I just want to start classes! I'll be hella busy for about a month, then I'll only have to worry about school and finding a part time job. The only stinky thing is gonna be living in good ol' Catharpin and going to school in Alexandria. Yes, Old Town. Maybe I'll find some roomies and be able to move closer in.
Once I start school, I imagine I'll have much more interesting things to post about. :-P
Yesterday was Lauren's birthday. My parents brought her a cake, but I didn't go. I was sick :-( What else is new lately? Anyhow, I got her "Stitch 'n Bitch Nation." She apparently loved it. She of course knew I was getting it for her and expected it, but she still loved it :-)
Over the next few weeks I've got to get cracking on cards and gifts. I've got about half of my cards ready to send out, and only a few gifts to buy. Unfortunately, I've gotta get crafty. I'm making my dad a watch case. I'm starting out with a plain wooden craft box and have to stain it, line the inside with fabric, and make the "pillows" for watches. I'm also making my parents a family tree - it's going to be cut paper and all. I've got most of the information for it, but I've got a little more research to go. And all of the crafting.

Not too much is going on... I just figured I hadn't posted in a while so I'd go ahead and post while I'm bored at work. :-P
Lauren came over on Sunday and we made some cookies with Mom. Mmm... They turned out gooooooood! And we're still gonna make more. I'm going up to Lauren's on Saturday for a party celebrating her birthday and her "exodus" from her crappy school/ job.
Other than that, I'm waiting for all of my paperwork to be completed so that I can register for classes for next semester!!! :-) I am very excited to be heading back to school. After my job is over in February, I'll have to see about finding a part time job. I've also been thinking about volunteering at the 10,000 Villages store in Alexandria. It's right around the corner from the VT buildings.
