Hokie football in Blacksburg is *almost* FINALLY HERE!!!!
I feel like it's been months! Oh yah, it has. :-P
Works been going fine. My team lead has been gone for about a week and a half, and unfortunately is coming back on Monday. But, there is word that she may not be my team lead much longer. We shall see how that plays out.
I went to an ear nose and throat specialist on Tuesday. I've currently got my 5th sinus infection in a year and a half, so I thought I would get it checked out. The doctor (aside from being fairly young and very hot) thinks that I'm going to need to get my tooth pulled - you know, the one in my sinus? Yah. And he had me get a new CT scan today to see if I've got any signs of "chronic sinus disease." His words, not mine. At least he was concerned by the frequency of my sinus infections.
So today I had my CT scan. I couldn't get the earring in my tragus out. Last time I took it out, I used pliers and then had to go to a tatto parlor to get the ball put back in (at a cost of $5). The radiology tech said she could just work around it. Afterwords, she asked me if the hoop was titanium. Apparently that is the only metal that doesn't cause streaking on the scans. And my scans had no streaking. Hmm...
Tomorrow it's off to Blacksburg with Jenny for some Hokie football!!! If you're going to be in town, give my a ringaling!

First things first...

Saturday night I went out with Sarah and most of her bridesmaids for her bachelorette party. We went to Adams Morgan - and despite the long walk (barefoot on the way back for some), it was a great time.
I especially must add that I got a guy's phone number. We went to this terrible club called "Ghana Cafe." Apparently someone thought they had great sounding music as we walked by. It sounded good outside - but once inside, it was loud enough to cause heart palpitations. Erica and I were perfectly happy to sit at a table and watch all of the others dance. (Let me just make a note that we were a group of young white girls in a room full of late-twenty, early-thirty something black people - it kinda of reminded me of that scene in Animal House...)
A guy walked in and smiled at me as he made his way to the dance floor. Then he came back and asked me to dance/grabbed my hands to drag me to the dance floor. At least I didn't dance with the guy Katherine was dancing with. This guy's name was Fidelis Afieowhngfejioh (or something like that). In his accent (which sounded like the Red Stripe Beer guy's) he told me he was a lawyer. Yah. So I told him a little about me and he told me that he had asked me to dance because I "have an awesome bod and a great smile." I was about to die. Then I told him I was in grad school blah blah blah, and he said, "You're awesome!"
As the rest of the party came to the rescue of Katherine and I, Fidelis wanted to give me his number - so he searched his wallet and found his business card that already had his number written on the back. But hey, he really was a lawyer!
