Happy Mother’s Day to all you momma’s out there. I spent the weekend with my momma – and boy, were we happy to see it end! After a little too much wine tasting followed by dinner and drinks on Saturday, we took it easy on Sunday. Momma got her hair cut and bought some clothes. Not to be outdone, I pampered myself, and got cheap gas and a Pretzel Meltz at Sheetz.

Annie gave me a card, too. She’s such a thoughtful dog-ter – with a nice Aunt Jenny who helped her write out what she was trying to say.

I did it! I finally got a job! On Thursday I accepted a position with Fairfax County’s planning department. While it is only a temporary position, it will help me to get my foot in the door, allow me to get experience, and give me a nice paycheck. Maybe this master’s degree will actually turn out to be worth the time!
